Battle for Beards in MageQuit

MageQuit is a multiplayer online brawler game in which parties of up to ten mages must battle it out for supremacy. This fast-paced game offers the same kind of chaotic action as seen in games like Brawlhalla or Multiversus.

In this fast-paced action game, you'll be thrown into an arena with up to nine other players. You control your character from a top-down perspective and move around the arena, launching spells at your opponents while avoiding their attacks. In addition to the free-for-all mode, MageQuit also offers one-on-one gameplay and team matches.

Adding depth to a party brawler

Adding depth to MageQuit's game mechanics is a spell-drafting system that takes place before each round of combat. Before the first round, each player receives a randomly-chosen pool of spells and can choose one. Before the second round begins, a new selection appears, and the player chooses another one. This progression adds complexity to the game's simple premise.

The spell-drafting system in MageQuit helps keep the game varied. Since you will rarely get the same combination of spells more than once, you'll need to be quick thinking to adapt to each new match. Similarly, your opponents will have all-new abilities that you'll need to learn to defend against. The constant changes help stop the game from becoming repetitive.

Is doing one thing well enough?

MageQuit does a lot to keep its multiplayer gameplay fresh. However, it offers little of anything else. Although you can play against customizable bots, the single-player gameplay is less appealing, and there's little unique single-player content.

An action-packed brawler with surprising depth

MageQuit's gameplay produces laugh-out-loud slapstick action while maintaining surprising depth. Multiplayer matchmaking makes it easy to play with friends online or locally (local games support a maximum of eight players). If a multiplayer beard battle sounds good to you, MageQuit is well worth your attention.
